My Name is Noel Downer and I have recently been promoted to a 5th Degree T.A.G.B. Black Belt on 19th April 2013.
In the early 70's I practised Karate to the level of brown belt which in TaeKwon-Do is the equivalent of red belt black tag, under instruction of then 2nd Dan Andy Guntner.
I started training in T.A.G.B. TaeKwon-Do back in March 1994 under my Instructor and Master Michael Dew 8th Degree Black Belt who is also the Vice Chairman of the TAGB and Secretary General of Tae Kwon-Do International and Senior Instructor of the TAGB.
Since starting my training in TAGB TaeKwon-Do and after gaining my 1st dergree I took and passed my Instructors qualification which led me to taking over Bristol Central TKD.
I also teach at the Headquarters under Master Dew twice weekly. All Black Belt gradings take place at the headquarters. I am so honoured to be teaching in a place where all my tae kwon-do training developed. I have taken two of my sons down the Black Belt path to achieve the coveted Black Belt along with many more.
As well as running Bristol Central TKD. Bristol West is my new club which opened in June 2009 at Henbury School.
I am a fully qualified and Registered TAGB Instructor.
